One of the best things about being on break from work is getting to enjoy mornings. I love un-rushed mornings and having the extra time to admire the pretty light, collect my thoughts, and just be lazy.
(Yes our windows need cleaning :()
The best thing about these types of mornings is that I actually get to have my favorite meal of the day! Here I am, measuring out ingredients for some blueberry pancakes -- the only step that Robert entrusts me with when it comes to baking. I decided to leave my feet in frame this time. You'd be surprised at how often I find myself standing on a step stool with a camera in hand.
Christmas present from Robert: a Rifle Paper Co to-do list pad. I'm hopelessly obsessed with their stuff, and luckily Robert caught on.
Holiday breaks also means that Robert practices more, and we have more time to explore!
Today, we found this adorable, vintage/retro-styled diner in south Carroll Gardens called The Treats Truck Stop. I forgot to get a shot, but they had the most delicious grilled cheese sandwiches I have ever eaten (or, taken a couple of small bites out of, since it was actually Robert's order *cries*). I'm not even a fan of grilled cheese sandwiches... but I'll be back for this one!
And last but not least: Happy New Year! If you're reading this, I'm sincerely thankful for you! Thank you for following my photography and blog and taking the time to see the world (or, rather, my infinitesimally small slice of the world) through my eyes.
