I’ve had the pleasure of getting to know Gilda in the last couple of months. She’s light-hearted, fun, and passionate. At first, she reached out to discuss photography (Gilda is a photographer herself), then asked me to do a shoot with her family! I was honored and as you will see, they are an absolutely adorable bunch :) I’m not gonna lie though… I was a little sore the next morning trying to keep up with the high-energy children!

    Wait for it…

The children were really into rock collecting! The whole family helped in order to get some cooperative posing ;)

Love Leah’s excitement and all of her different expressions.

Thanks for letting me photograph your family!

Once in awhile, I get a chance to organize a shoot where I get to have total artistic control and it is always THE BEST THING EVER. I had so much fun making this shoot happen — I think I beat my record of images planned vs. images executed ratio :)

Alice is a yoga instructor at Bindu Yoga Studio in Del Mar. She was the most fantastic model, enduring bugs, cold, and even wet pants! (I know, I am the meanest photographer ever =/) Also, a big thanks to Ming Kawaguchi for assisting!

Standing next to the ocean minutes after the sun goes down… It’s really hard to put into words, but I will try. It fills me with awe and humbleness; makes me aware of how small I am and gives me a glimpse of how big and mysterious God is. The waves are really loud, but there is a remarkable sense of stillness.

    Happy Easter!

Robert and I stopped by Branden and Geno’s house this weekend to drop off some books. Little did I know how many cute things were living in their home! Of course, there are their adorable twins, RJ and Clementine. But they also had the sweetest dog ever, and a turtle (plus two cats that I only caught a glimpse of :) Lucky I had just picked up my camera from the repair shot… couldn’t resist taking a couple of shots!

Here is RJ, who has so many interesting expressions! *Squish*

Look at those eyes! How could you ever say no to such a sweet face??

Apparently RJ enjoys the process of being changed :)

Here is RJ’s twin sister, the beautiful Clementine (unfortunately, she had just finished crying =/)

    Here’s the pet turtle:

… and Clementine observing the turtle intently

Last but not least… sweetest dog ever. He’d come over randomly and plop himself next to me :)
