It's hard to believe that just ten miles outside of New York City, large stretches of open land begin to emerge, abundant in mountains, valleys, trees, and rivers. It's amazingly picturesque, and I'm so thankful that I got to experience it the whole ride up to Jess and Eric's wedding at the beautiful Full Moon Resort, nestled in Hudson Valley.
Jess and Eric's day was true to their personalities -- everything from their hilarious yet moving wedding vows to the card-board cut-outs of their beloved pets. Eloquently put by Jess in her wedding vows: "I love you because you let me just be me," and from Eric: "I know that Jess will always be straight with me." Everyone know that marriage will always be wrought with difficulties and hardships, but I'm confident that these two will remain best friends through the thick and thin of it. Congratulations again guys, I am so honored that I could be a part of your day.
I'm in love with this ceremony spot! Everything, from the backdrop of majestic trees, to the simple and rustic take on a traditional wedding arch, was uniquely beautiful. The long walkway made for an especially picturesque processional.
The reception, held at the Full Moon Resort barn, was nothing but pretty, pretty, pretty. Guests had a majestic view of the creek and trees while they dined, and the mint napkins and pastel colored flowers really brightened up the room.
Special thanks to my assistant photographer (and husband), Robert Thomas, and the rest of the vendors!
